 DSDL visit to GAISA Summit

All India Council for Robotics & Automation(AICRA) organized the

3rd edition ofGAISA, predominantly focusing on delivering great

insight into AI & Machine Learning in sustainable development.


The DSDL team attended Global Artificial Intelligence Summit & Award (GAISA)2022, held on 7 Oct- 8 Oct 2022 in Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.


The key highlights of the visit 

The chief guest of the two-day long summit, Union Cabinet Minister Shri Piyush Goyal with Minister Nitin Gadkari, Dr. Srivari Chandrasekhar, Air Marshal Anil Chopra, Lt. General Rajesh Pant, Lt. Gen (Dr) Ranbir Singh, Lt. General Sunil Srivastava were guests & speakers of the GAISA,22.


The event started with the inauguration of the Technology Exhibition by Cheif Guest Shri Piyush Goyal followed by a welcome note by Shri Raj Kumar Sharma, President of All India Council of Robotics & Automation(AICRA).


GAISA was an opportunity hub for the club members to build a network and get insight into Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning through the center of attention-Exhibitions, Round-Table discussions, Conferences & Award ceremonies held by delegates.


The summit was focused on the adoption of AI to make revolutionary changes in engrossed sectors-

DEFENCE

HEALTHCARE

AGRICULTURE

SMART MOBILITY

EDUCATION


Various emerging great companies in the AI domain actively participated in the exhibition and showcase their development & deployment of technology in Health, agriculture, education, Aerospace, and Smart City sectors.


Club members also interacted, built professional relations, and got to analyze the new opportunities with these companies. "Saathi AI, SmartCow, and Indika AI are some of the emerging companies in the field of AI & related technologies were few of them". 


GAISA was a great experience as-well-as motivation for the members of DSDL, to keep inching toward their goal.

3 days Bootcamp on Git at KIET Group of Institutions

A Bootcamp was organized for 3 days. During 3 days long event core team, members of DSDL and some new interested students learnt a lot of things about git and Github. The strength of students was excellent (attendance list is attached below). This intense training session was designed for students who want to get started working with Git and Github. Following the step-by-step approach, students not only learnt the commands for efficient code management but also understood fundamental concepts behind version control systems following Git architecture. The impetus of this session assumed that an individual knew nothing about Git and needed to start step by step explanation with theory and commands in the sequential flow.
